Conditions of hire
All terms are per week, per chalet as equipped and described. The time for you to take over is 3pm (subject to unavoidable delays) if you arrive before 3pm we cannot guarantee your accommodation is up to the required standard (the time between 10am & 3pm is needed to check all accommodation and action any repairs etc., if you do take over the accommodation before 3pm we cannot be held responsible for the condition of the chalet.
At most locations, the take over time is 3pm unless stated differently on your final receipt (subject to unavoidable delays). You must leave the accommodation by 10am and you are expected to leave everything clean and tidy.
You will be held responsible to make good or pay for any damage to the accommodation, fittings, utensils,crockery or cutlery.
Booking Deposit ~
this is a reservation fee to be paid at the time of booking. The deposit is £60 per week which is inclusive of the £10 cancellation fee or for a short break the deposit is £46 which is also inclusive of the £6 fee for cancellation plan. The booking fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
Balance of Hire Money ~
the balance is payable at least 42 clear days before your holiday begins. A receipt will be sent to acknowledge your deposit, this will show the balance to send 42 days before your holiday, no further invoice will be sent. The balance of your holiday will be protected for £10.00 per week or short break £6 under the cancellation plan, this is to be paid when the booking is made.
We will accept bookings from all male/female parties with a £100 damage/behaviour bond.
Should accommodation required not be available when the deposit and booking form are received, the deposit will be refunded in full, and where possible an alternative choice of accommodation will be offered.
The booking is made on the understanding that the property will be placed at your disposal on the date stated. Should this not be possible through circumstances not under the control of the owner (e.g. fire, theft or damage) we cannot guarantee to provide an alternative property in which case all monies paid shall be returned in full, but the hirer shall have no further claim against 'Carefree holidays'. Carefree holidays endeavour to ensure the availability of amenities in its brochure, but shall not be liable in respect of their non availability.
Carefree Holiday ~
shall not be liable for the death of, or injury to any person on holiday in, or visiting Carefree holiday accommodation, or for any loss of, or damage to the property of any such person, howsoever any such death, injury, loss or damage may be caused.
Plans and diagrams shown in the brochure are not drawn to scale and are intended only as a guide to help you.
All Persons in your party (including all children and infants) must be entered on the booking form and details of any pets you wish to bring. Carefree holidays reserve the right to refuse persons or pets not entered on the booking form.
Japanese Akita, Neapolitan Mastiffs, Rottweillers, Pitbull Terriers, Japanese Tosas, Wolfhound hybrids or any cross bred dogs from these breeds are not allowed in any of our accommodation.
Car Parking ~
at all accommodation advertised in this brochure is at the owners risk.
Transferring bookings a charge of £10 per week will be made to cover the cost of administration.
Cancellation Plan ~
If you have to cancel before the start of your holiday the first and most important thing is to let us know, by phone then by first class letter as soon as possible, enclose your booking receipt, and a stamped addressed envelope if you require a reply. It is to your advantage to give us the earliest warning of a cancellation to enable us to re-let the accommodation.
Once a booking has been made a legal contract exists which makes you liable for the full cost of your accommodation regardless of the reason for your cancellation, this is only fair to the owners of the accommodation.
CAREFREE HOLIDAYS Operate a very good value cancellation plan at a cost of only £10.00 per full weeks booking or £6 for a short break.
The cancellation plan terminates on the day your holiday starts. If your reason for cancellation is not covered by the plan, or you have not paid into the cancellation plan then we will endeavour to re-let the accommodation, in which case a refund will be made less a handling charge. If the accommodation is not re-let then unfortunately full payment is due.
Please note this is a Cancellation Plan and does not cover a curtailment of a holiday.
If you wish for your booking to be moved For any reason then a £10.00 per week handling charge will be made.
